WHAT SHOULD I BELIEVE?

new shoot Growing faith while having fun doing it is essential to true growth.

If you enjoy the trip, the effects will last longer and the results will be better. Whatever the goal of your walk in believing you can achieve, it is still essential that you enjoy what you are doing.

Some folk may disagree with me, saying we just have to “tough it through” and there is a certain truth to that part of the growth process, however, if you can grin while you grit your teeth, it seems to make things move better and last longer.

I have found the things I enjoy doing have a more anticipatory flavor (I look forward to doing them). Therefore, I am more apt to complete them. If we are to grow, it is with small increments that we do so. Fast growth is not usually stable or long-lasting. Slow growth stays the course and builds a solid foundation upon which to grow.

New growth is great, but it must get settled and grow deep to last.mature plant

MATURE PLANTS CAN PRODUCE FLOWERS

As I said above, “new growth is great”. But it doesn’t grow flowers. The beauty, fragrance and fruit only come as growth turns into maturity. For us that means as we grow we become more acceptable, more aromatic and more fruitful.

If this is desirable (I believe we agree here), then we must grow. NO gardener plants a garden just to plant it and no business person starts a business just to start it. We have dreams and visions about what we have begun and anticipate success in this undertaking, otherwise, why start? And even more to the point, why continue?

Therefore we must grow and mature.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I AM MATURE?

Simple – when it works! When people love to come to my ‘garden’ and go away having been refreshed and taking some good things with them, I know I have purpose and have become a provider. Now to continue my business, I ‘rinse and repeat’, that is I continue to do what has worked and met the need.

A one time success is not true success. True success is to continue succeeding. So, don’t stop. Don’t quit. Keep on ‘keeping on’. Until the task is complete, if that day should come for you.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I AM DONE?

When no one needs your provision anymore. They’ll let you know. They just won’t come back. If no one comes – you’re done…with this, but not necessarily done, just need to re-group and start something new.

Maturity in business means we know when things change, have planned for that (IT is natural), and have a new direction to ‘grow’ into.

VERY IMPORTANT:

  • Keep your faith
  • Keep your humor
  • Keep your vision
  • Keep going

That is unless you have done all you want to do; made all you wish to make; gone everywhere you want to go and have no desire to do more – then you are done.

So grow and go while having fun on the way. happy
